Chapter 9

“Adley!” Sebastian urged as his lips skated over the cleft of Adley’s ass and he swore as he reached for his phone.

“I knew this morning was too perfect,” he muttered as he raised his head and squinted at the screen then gasped as he sat up and tapped his lips, gesturing for Sebastian to stay quiet. He swiped and held the phone to his ear. “Hey, mom! What’s up?” He asked and she snorted loudly.

“I’m on my way to wring your neck, that’s what’s up!” She said and Adley jumped to his feet.

“You’re on your way here?” He asked loudly and Sebastian’s eyes were wide as he scrambled off the bed. He dove for his jeans and Adley rushed to his dresser.

“I talked to Jenna this morning,” she said and Adley hissed as he pulled on a pair of sweatpants. “That’s how I learn that my son is in love and practically engaged?” She scolded and Adley sighed.

“I didn’t think it was going to go anywhere and then things got kind of crazy, really fast,” he said as he found a t-shirt and Sebastian was dressed and picking up their discarded clothes.

“You’ve never even mentioned a Sebastian!” She replied.

“I thought it would sound silly if I told you I had a really big crush on a guy I’ve only messaged with,” he said as he hurried into the bathroom and turned on the water.

“Not as silly as falling in love with a complete stranger overnight,” she argued and he chewed on his lip as he considered the chestnut brown tuft of post-sex bed hair on top of his head. It reminded him of a treasure troll and he quickly pulled a brush through it. I did fall in love overnight, he realized then looked back at Sebastian. He was making the bed and it was as if he’d always been there. He felt like his closest friend the moment they first met and they were growing closer every day.

“He’s not a stranger and I can’t wait for you to meet him,” he said and he heard her sigh.

“Brush your teeth, I’m on my way up,” she said then ended the call. Adley chuckled as he reached for his toothbrush then quickly scrubbed at his teeth. He rinsed and dried his face quickly and dashed into the hall just as the elevator doors opened.

“Mom!” He said as he pulled her into his arms and she gasped as she leaned back and searched his face.

“Have you been drinking this morning?” She asked and he laughed as he hugged her.

“Your timing was a little unfortunate but I’m glad you’re here,” he said then looked over his shoulder. “You can come out,” he called and his mother’s hand tightened around his arm.

“He did sleep over!” She whispered and pretended to be shocked when he raised a brow. Sebastian peeked around the living room wall then smiled as he stepped into the foyer and offered his hand.

“It’s so lovely to meet you, Mrs. Crane.
